Stephentown Historical Society Presents The Silicon Valley Of The Nineteenth Century

P. Thomas Carroll will give a talk, “The Hudson-Mohawk Region: Silicon Valley of the Nineteenth Century,” to the Stephentown Historical Society on Monday, April 4, at 7:30 pm. The meeting will be at the Stephentown Heritage Center on Garfield Road, Stephentown. It is free and open to the public. The building is handicapped accessible. Stephentown Vets Texas Hold’em

The Veterans of Stephentown  will hold a Texas Hold’em Tournament on Saturday, April 9, in the Stephentown Fire Hall, located on Grange Hall Road in Stephentown. The doors will open at 5 pm and close at 6 pm. Play begins at 6:15 sharp.
A free buffet will be served at the first break.
No advance registration is required, and a donation of $35 per player is accepted. Players can make an additional $10 donation at the door for 1,000 extra chips. This tournament will pay one place for every ten players with a minimum of four places.

Garfield Cemetery Clean-Up Day

The Garfield Cemetery Association plans a spring clean-up day on Saturday, April 16, at 9 am at which time all remaining Christmas/winter decorations will be removed. All cemetery plot owners, their families or friends are invited to help on this clean-up day.

Stephentown Board Discusses Land Use Regs

Two things the Stephentown Town Board is focusing on lately are reviewing and updating the land use regulations and getting started on doing something to encourage business development in the town.
Upgrading The Land Use Regulations
