Mark Frankel of East Road asked why a wood chipping business on Jones Road is still operating after a stop work order was served on it. Frankel and others at the meeting pointed out that the mill is in an R-1 Residential zone and is operating noisily seven days a week and is detrimental to the neighborhood. Bob Reiter started off the sixth annual Veterans Day Parade at Stephentown’s Veterans Park asking for a moment of silence for the victims of the Fort Hood massacre. The Rensselaer County Veterans Service Director said it was a sad day in America when we have to watch our backs at home while fighting a war abroad.
