Students Of The Month At Grafton Elementary

Grafton Elementary School is emphasizing the following character traits throughout the year: responsibility, respect, self-control, compassion, tolerance, trustworthiness, perseverance, cooperation, citizenship and appreciation.

Gilbert Takes Third At States

In September Casey Gilbert ran his very first cross country race ever. Now, just two months later, the Berlin senior has been crowned the Patroon Conference Champion as well as the Section 2, Class D Champion. This past weekend Gilbert, along with teammate Cody Blain and Kelsey Demick and Ashley Rokjer from the girls team traveled to Long Island for the New York State Championship race. Berlin Central School Sports Awards

On Wednesday night Berlin High School hosted the fall sports awards to honor the fall season athletes. The first order of business for Athletic Director Art Schmich was to honor two very special people to the Athletic Department. Fractured Fairy Tales

Will the Big Bad Wolf be found guilty of wrecking the houses of the little pigs? Will Humpty-Dumpty find the evidence he needs to bring the case to trial? Will the Fairy Godmother Judge find a group of unbiased jurors? Can DA Rumplestiltskin bring the trial to a swift end? All this in the play Law And Order: Fairy Tale Unit.

The Berlin High School Drama Club will produce Law and Order and Goldilocks this Friday and Saturday, November 14 and 15, starting at 7 pm. Join us for these slightly fractured fairy tales. Admission is $4.

Mountaineers Send Four Cross Country Runners To The State Championships

Snow across the region early in the week did not stop the area’s high school cross country runners from racing in what was the biggest race of the season for most of them. The Section II Cross Country Championships were once again held at Saratoga State Park, and, once again, the Berlin teams were well represented.
