Antiques And Art Discovery Day At Tech Valley High School

An antiques and art discovery day will be held to benefit the Tech Valley High School Parent Activities Council (PAC) on Saturday, April 16. The event is open to the public from 9 am to 6 pm. Antique, art and collectible experts from The Appraisers Road Show will hold the event at Tech Valley High School (TVHS), which is located at 246 Tricentennial Drive in Albany on the campus of the Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Two Communities Joining Together To Re-Establish High School Wrestling In The Taconic Valley

The Berlin High School’s reentry into the sport of wrestling was a year marked by growing pains.  When the season started with their first scrimmage at Hoosick Falls, they had nearly a full team and high hopes.  By season’s end, they were down to just a few wrestlers, most having dropped out along the way.  Now coach D.J. Berlin InvenTeam Completes Mid-Grant Technical Review

A team of young inventors from Berlin High School is the recipient of a grant from the Lemelson-MIT Program. On October 14, Lemelson-MIT announced Berlin was one of only fourteen schools nationwide that would receive up to $10,000 each in grant funding as part of its 2015–2016 InvenTeam™ initiative to inspire young people to solve real-world problems through invention. Berlin Boys Fall To Cambridge But Head Into Sectional Play Optimistic

The Mountaineers closed out the regular season with an 80 to 59 loss to the Cambridge Indians, stepping up in class as a tune up to this week’s Section 2 Class D competition.  Roark Slattery again led from the way with 27 points and six rebounds.  Slattery also dropped in six from three-point land.  Senior Ryan Shumway added 12 points while Ryan Gosse contributed another 11 points.   The Mountaineers held their own on the defensive boards, but only four offensive rebounds hampered their scoring efforts.
