Berlin Valedictory Speech
I’m probably not the best person to represent our class in a speech. I’m not someone to jump into the middle of things. I’ve always been more comfortable on the sidelines of the Class of 2015, sitting off by myself with a book clutched in my hand. While many of the people on this stage visited Cape Cod for our senior trip, I was reading The Grapes of Wrath and taking a pottery class. Berlin Salutatory Speech
When I found out I had the opportunity to speak today, a lot went through my head. I didn’t want to talk a lot about our past here or try to predict our futures; I just wanted to talk and leave an impression. I’ve seen and heard plenty of graduation speeches before. I used to sit down there and play for the graduates like our awesome band is today, and honestly, I can’t remember a word of what those speakers said. What I do remember is how great each of them made me feel, and ever since hearing them, I’ve wanted to make sure I left at least someone in this room tonight with the same great feeling I felt. The Berlin Central School Staff/Student Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a Berlin High School graduate who has worked to the best of his/her ability and does not necessarily rank at the top of the graduating class; to a graduate who desires to further his/her education either academically or technically; and to a graduate who has been courteous and considerate of others. 1980 Graduate Schindler Is Berlin Graduation Speaker

Berlin Central School’s Commencement speaker at Graduation Exercises on Friday was one of their own, and a very successful role model. 1980 graduate Kurt Schindler was president of his class and an avid participant in soccer, basketball, baseball and musical drama. He went on to become a Certified Financial Planner and Instructor of Financial Education at the Banco Popular in Puerto Rico. Berlin School Board Contemplates Low Bids For Closed Elementary Schools

NYSATA Honors Berlin Art Teachers
On June 16, Berlin Middle School/High School teachers Samantha Noles and Christina Wallace were honored as the New York State Art Teachers Association’s (NYSATA) Region 6 Art Educators of the Year.
