The New Lebanon boys basketball team was able to hold off a resilient Berlin team en route to a 70-45 victory on Tuesday night. Despite the Mountaineers’ rough 0-9 start thus far, they showed great improvement from just two weeks ago in the Hoosick Falls Holiday Tournament. Unfortunately for Berlin, those improvements weren’t enough to knock off sharp shooting Mike Gavrity and the Tigers.

Anthony J. Hindes of Berlin was killed in a one car accident Monday evening on Bly Hollow Road in the Cherry Plain area of the Town of Berlin. Sgt.
