The Berlin Elementary School PTO is sponsoring a pancake breakfast on Sunday, March 14, at the Berlin Elementary School from 8 to 11 am, serving pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage. The cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children under 12 and for seniors and free for kids under 3.

Mountaineers Basketball Season Ends in Greenwich

Despite playing very well the Berlin boys basketball team saw their season come to an end on Friday night, February 22, in Greenwich. The sectional play-in game pitted the Witches of the WASAREN League against the Mountaineers. The teams were battling it out for the right to play against #3 seed Voorheesville in the first round game the following week.

The Berlin Middle School Presents Tom Sawyer This Weekend
Double H Trip
Sixteen students along with five chaperones volunteered recently at the Double H Hole in The Wall Camp in Lake Luzerne. The students used their school holiday, January 19, to pay tribute to their friend Cooper Reiman. Cooper passed away last February from muscular dystrophy. The Double H camp was a favorite place of Cooper’s.

Mountaineers Celebrate Senior Night

Before their final home game of the season last Friday night, the Berlin boys basketball team celebrated its senior night. The Mountaineers only have three seniors on the squad this year. Cody Blain, Drew Webster and Shawn Willis were all honored prior to the tip-off of the game against Waterford.

Pre-Kindergarten Interest Survey
The Berlin Central School District is conducting an interest survey for potential pre-kindergarten for the 2010-2011 school year. If you have a child who will be four years of age on or before December 1, 2010, please call Trish Jansen at 658-2010 by March 1 between the hours of 8:15 am and 3 pm to indicate if you might be interested in having your child attend pre-k at Berlin CSD for the 2010-2011 school year.

Second Half Tiger Surge Slams Door On Berlin

While the Berlin boys basketball team has struggled to put together any success this season, their rival New Lebanon Tigers have seemed to finally find their way in the Central Hudson Valley League. With just three games remaining, the Tigers were tied for the top spot entering Monday night’s game with Berlin. As always with these two teams, standings were meaningless as the long time rivals began to do battle.
