HFCS PTA Meeting

The next business meeting of the HFCS PTA will take place on Wednesday, January 19, in the Elementary School Library beginning at 6:30 pm.
As always, members and non-members are encouraged to join meetings to find out what the PTA is doing for our children and to share ideas for special programs and events to benefit the children and families of our School District.
If you’d like to become a member or to learn more about PTA and its programs, please attend this meeting or contact Membership Chair Andrea Lane at 518-686-0734.

Achievements Recognized At HFCS School Board Meeting

The HFCS Board of Education meeting on Thursday, December 16, began with presentation of T-shirts and certificates for students who made the Principal’s list with a quarterly average of 95 or better, then to Drama Scholars, who had an average of 90 or above and participated in drama activities and then to Scholar Athletes, who achieved a 90 average and participated in a varsity sport. There were also awards for members of the four teams which were named “scholar teams.” A “scholar team” is one where the academic average over the whole team is 90 or better. The Football, Field Hockey and both Boys and Girls Soccer teams all achieved this distinction.

Hoosick Falls Bowlers Reach Highest Pin Count Of Season

The Hoosick Falls bowling team beat Granville by the score of 4 to 0 on Monday, December 20, in Granville. They had their highest total pin count of the season with 3,836 pins to Granville’s 3,107. Hoosick Falls’ record is now 23-1, and Granville is 18-14.

Hoosick Falls Central School Bowlers Win Two More

The Hoosick Falls bowling team won a close match against Schuylerville on Thursday, December 9, by the score of 3 to 1. All three games were very close as Hoosick Falls had the higher pin total of 3,429 to Schuylerville 3,366. Hoosick Falls is now 15-1 and Schuylerville is 12-4. Top bowler for Schuylerville was Matt Seymour with a 236-667. Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Chris Pelletier 235-651, Joe Wolfrum 225-596, Bryan Callahan 241-582, James Lynch 192-568 and Cody LaFlamme 197-537.

HFCS Chorus Students Play Carnegie Hall

HFCS PTA Hosts Tiny Tim’s Holiday Giftshop

Come one, come all – the Hoosick Falls Central School PTA is once again sponsoring Tiny Tim’s Holiday Giftshop. Children will have this fun filled time to purchase low cost holiday gifts for their family and friends.
This is also a learning opportunity for youth as they build on their math, decision making and time management skills while also being thoughtful and caring to others.
