HFCS Pre-Licensing Course

Hoosick Falls Central School will sponsor the 5-hour Pre-licensing Class needed to take the NYS Driver’s test on Thursday, October 1. Registration begins at 4:30 pm in the High School Office with the class following promptly at 5 pm. A valid NYS learner’s permit and a $35 cash or check are required. HFCS Field Hockey Downs Salem

HFCS Field Hockey Coach Denise Campbell said her team played well on Wednesday, September 16, in their victory over Salem, 3-0.  “The midfield did a good job of backing up the front line,” she said. “Salem had some quick players, and their goalie made some nice saves.”

Panther Girls Soccer Handles Tamarac

HFCS College Night

The Hoosick Falls Junior/Senior High School Counseling Center is sponsoring a College Information Night on Monday, September 21, at 6:30 pm in the High School cafeteria. Guest panelists Kathy Rusch of Russell Sage College and a representative from Hudson Valley Community College will address a wide range of topics. The program is open to all parents and students and is designed to be especially helpful to college bound juniors and seniors.

First Day Of School: Wash Your Hands

HFCS Football Field To Be Renamed

9/11/2001 will be remembered and the HFCS football field will be renamed during brief ceremonies before Friday night’s first home football game of the season against Hoosic Valley that begins at 7 pm.
Three months ago the School Board voted to change Panther Field to the Ken Baker Field. Coach Baker was loved and respected by his players, his students and his community. He died in early January 2008 at age 70 while playing basketball.

Coach Ron Jones’ Hoosick Falls Central School varsity football team got its 2009 season off to a rousing success last Friday evening, September 4, when they thrashed home standing Schuylerville Central School to the tune of 39-19.
