HFCS Elementary School Honors Veterans

Third grade teacher Terri Burdick is a member of the Elks. The Elks Club, she told a packed auditorium Monday morning, is dedicated to helping Veterans. For many years, in that capacity, Mrs. Burdick has spearheaded a program that recognizes them on the eve of Veterans Day. The entire elementary school gets involved in this outstanding program. Students and teachers dress in red, white and blue, and there’s plenty of singing. Hearing an auditorium of elementary kids belting out “Proud to be an American” will warm any heart. Rainy weather changed the schedule for the girls soccer sectionals and #2 seed HF got to play #6 seed Albany Academy at Helft Field in Hoosick on October 30. The score was 3 – 0 for the Panthers. Goals were scored by Meaghan McKee, Allie Martin and Jenna Priore. Kelsey Rogers had six saves in the shutout, and the Hoosick Falls Girls Soccer Team became Class CC Champions once again. Panther Football Team Loses Season Finale To Corinth, 32-27
