HFCS Ski/Snowboard Club

Hoosick Falls Central School is hosting its Elementary Ski/Snowboard Club at Willard Mountain in Greenwich, NY, this 2009 season!  Students in grades 5-8 are invited to participate in the elementary program on Wednesdays, beginning January 7, 2009 for six weeks. HFCS Elementary School Honors Veterans

Third grade teacher Terri Burdick is a member of the Elks. The Elks Club, she told a packed auditorium Monday morning, is dedicated to helping Veterans. For many years, in that capacity, Mrs. Burdick has spearheaded a program that recognizes them on the eve of Veterans Day. The entire elementary school gets involved in this outstanding program. Students and teachers dress in red, white and blue, and there’s plenty of singing. Hearing an auditorium of elementary kids belting out “Proud to be an American” will warm any heart. HFCS Girls Soccer Class CC Champs

Rainy weather changed the schedule for the girls soccer sectionals and #2 seed HF got to play #6 seed Albany Academy at Helft Field in Hoosick on October 30. The score was 3 – 0 for the Panthers. Goals were scored by Meaghan McKee, Allie Martin and Jenna Priore. Kelsey Rogers had six saves in the shutout, and the Hoosick Falls Girls Soccer Team became Class CC Champions once again. HFCS Field Hockey Team Class CC Champs

Panther Football Team Loses Season Finale To Corinth, 32-27

The second time around for a high school football game between home standing Hoosick Falls Central School and the visiting Corinth Central School Tomahawks last Friday evening, October 31, Halloween night, turned out to be a scary proposition for the Hoosick Falls Panthers as Ron Jones’ team dropped a 32-27 season ending decision in a Class C crossover game.
