The Panthers made the long trip to Ticonderoga to play the Sentinels (7-1) last Friday. The Panthers struggled early, then staged a nice second half comeback to make a game of it.

The Hoosick Falls Panthers entered Friday night’s game against the undefeated Greenwich Witches with a chance to make it to Sectional play. The number one seeded Section II, Class C, HFCS field hockey team began the Sectionals on Tuesday. The quarterfinal action ended with a win over eighth seeded North Warren. The North Warren Cougars won the chance to face the Panthers by defeating Granville 2 – 0 Monday afternoon. Held last weekend on a brisk Saturday morning, the Stephen Colvin Memorial Run, Walk or Roll Race drew 102 competitors. Participants gathered at Wood Park then walked up to the corner of Munsell and High Street, where the race began, with temperatures in the upper forties.
