The Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Stillwater on Thursday, January 5, by the score of 4-0. Hoosick Falls had total pins of 3,457, and Stillwater had total pins of 2,770. Hoosick Falls now has a record of 39-1, and Stillwater has a record of 18-18. The top bowler for Stillwater was Charlie Dyer with a 180-523. Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Mitch Andrew 228-625, Bryan Callahan 224-606, Stephen Surdam 215-596, Josh Conn 202-585, Joe Wolfrum 214-574 and Josh McCart 225-568. Top JV scores were Jordan Colvin 264-615, Josh Reveal 220-581, Mikaela Marbot 223-558, Charlie Stowell 217-557 and Ken Marbot 195-533.

BCS Staff And Students Return To Schoharie

This Saturday, January 14, Berlin Central School staff and students are returning to Schoharie for a fourth time. We will be leaving the MS/HS at 8:30 Saturday morning and returning at 5:30 pm. In Schoharie we will be demolishing the interior of a home where the owners have decided to rebuild rather than walk away from their home and start over in a new place. Lilac Shooting Sends Panthers Past Hoosic Valley

Alex Lilac had his best game of the season so far last Friday night, January 6, in the battle between Hoosick Falls and Hoosic Valley. Leading his Panthers to victory, Lilac’s 29 points were a season high and included 6 three-pointers.

Panther Matmen Go 3-2 At Burgher Duals

Facing off against teams from elsewhere in Section II and beyond, the Hoosick Falls wrestling team went 3-2 at the Burgher Duals on Saturday, January 7, in Warrensburg. The Panthers recorded wins over Beekmantown, Albany Academy and Morrisville Eaton while falling to host Warrensburg and Hudson Falls.

HFCS Midterm And Regents/RCT Exam Schedule
The Hoosick Falls Central School District’s Midterm and Regents/RCT Exams will be given Tuesday, January 24, through Friday, January 27. There will be no classes during the week, except for Monday, January 23. Regular morning bus transportation to school will be provided. Return bus service will be provided at 11:30 am, 2:15 pm and 3:15 pm. There will be no 4:20 pm bus run, except on Monday, January 23. On Friday, January 27, there will be no 2:15 pm return bus service.

Next HFCS PTA Meeting

Berlin HS Class Of 2012 Pizza Night
On Friday, January 13, the BCS senior class will be holding a Pizza Night fund-raiser from 4 to 7 pm at the MS/HS. Hot, fresh pizzas are available for $8 a pie plus $1 extra per topping. Available toppings are pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, black olives, onions, ham, pineapple and jalapeños. You can eat-in or take-out. Panthers Dominate Bengals On Mat

The Hoosick Falls wrestling team traveled to Tamarac High School on Friday, December 30, for its only match over the Christmas break. The Panthers made the one match worth their time as they won 58-15 against their Wasaren League opponent.

Panther Bowlers Win Two More
The Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Whitehall on Wednesday, December 21, by the score of 4-0. Hoosick Falls now has a record of 31-1 and Whitehall now has a record of 6-18. The top bowler for Whitehall was Rich Tisi with a 233-609. The top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Josh McCart 279-697, Josh Conn 215-636, Joe Wolfrum 259-614, Bryan Callahan 236-601, Mitch Andrew 202-591 and Mikaela Marbot 209-534. The top JV bowlers were Jordan Colvin 214-565, Ken Marbot 201-547 and Stephen Surdam 204-543.
