Panther Girls Hoop Team Loses Tough One

Last Friday night, January 8, the Hoosick Falls Central School girls basketball team came up just short in a very good effort against the Greenwich Witches in a 57-44 WASAREN League contest. In a game much closer than the final score indicated, Kerry Brannigan’s Panther five took GCS to the final minutes before this ball game was decided. With the loss, HFCS drops to 0-5 in league play and to 1-7, overall. But the effort was there on the part of HFCS.

Panther Boys Hoop Team Gives Lilac 200th Win

Hoosick Falls Central School varsity boys basketball Coach Mike Lilac Jr. reached career coaching win number 200 in his fourteenth season as cage mentor at HFCS when his Panther team crushed home standing Greenwich Central School by a 62-33 margin in WASAREN League play last Friday, January 8.

Panther Boys Hoop Team Remains Unbeaten In WASAREN League Play

Visiting Stillwater Central School played a solid, tough WASAREN League game Tuesday night, January 12, but it wasn’t enough to keep Mike Lilac Jr.’s Hoosick Falls Central School Panther boys five from remaining unbeaten in league action as HFCS took the measure of the Warriors by a 69-51 score. With the win, Hoosick Falls jumps to 6-0 in league play while climbing to 8-1 overall.
