On June 16, Berlin Middle School/High School teachers Samantha Noles and Christina Wallace were honored as the New York State Art Teachers Association’s (NYSATA) Region 6 Art Educators of the Year. New Lebanon Color Run 5K A Success

The New Lebanon Travel Club hosted its first Color Run 5K on Saturday, June 6. Thirty-one runners/walkers participated in the 5K and eight children participated in the Fun Run. First, second, and third place male and female finishers were awarded with trophies following the race:
First Place, male: Harrison Zema, 20:48
Second Place, male: Tim Lambert, 20:49
Third Place, male: Billy Poppy, 21:05
First Place, female: Corie Noel, 22:29
Second Place, female: Allura Meizinger, 25:30
Third Place, female: Natalie Zema, 26:09

Coach Baker Fund Events Are This Weekend
The Eighth Annual Coach Baker Fund Weekend will be held this Friday and Saturday June 12 and 13 throughout the Hoosick Falls and Cambridge communities. The committee for the annual weekend would like to invite both the Hoosick and Cambridge area communities to join in the fun-filled auction and dinner on Friday night at the Hoosick Falls Country Club, and the Saturday golf tournament at the Country Club, and basketball tournament which is being held this year at Cambridge Central School. Colvin Fundraiser Held On A Beautiful Day

The Stephen Colvin Second Annual Flag Football Tournament was held Saturday on the HFCS fields. It was a great success on a gorgeous June day.
The tournament was held to honor Steve Colvin, who was killed in a tragic 2014 skiing accident. Loved by everyone who crossed his path, Steve’s friends and classmates come together each year since to celebrate his life and raise money for a scholarship in his name. Berlin School Board Seeks Building Condition Survey For Guidance

The Berlin Central School Board of Education held a round table discussion about the District’s facilities.on Thursday, June 4.
Superintendent of Buildings Cyril Grant said a survey of the District’s buildings that is required every five years is due by November 15 of this year (the last one was done in 2010), so it should be set in motion very soon. Hoosick Falls Central School Sports Awards Banquet

The HFCS sports awards banquet was held Monday evening June 8 in the HFCS gymnasium. The awards were handed out after an excellent meal prepared by the school’s cafeteria staff.
