Panthers Outrun Black Horses

Last Friday, the visiting Panthers took on the Schuylerville Black Horses on the Horses’ home field. The Panthers flew out of the gate, taking a 20 – 0 first quarter lead.  A 24 yard pass from quarterback Billy Pine to Randy Tutunjian along with two Brad Burns running plays (17 and 67 yards) gave the Panthers all the points they would need to bring home the victory. Lady Panther Soccer Beats Greenwich

The HF Varsity Girls Soccer team outscored Greenwich 7-2 last Tuesday night. Goals were racked up by Grace Delurey, 1, Alice Hayden, 1, Liz Babson, 2, Allie Martin, 1, Mackenzie Hinchliffe, 1, and Casie Mann, 1. Assists to those goals were Grace Delurey, 2, Alice Hayden, 1, Mackenzie Hinchliffe, 2, and Rachel Pine, 1. The Lady Panthers had 12 corner kicks. Hannah Fricke had 6 saves in the net. Mountaineer Boys Varsity Soccer Splits Games

On Tuesday the Berlin Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated Doane Stuart 2 to 0 at home on goals from Jacob Mills and Cody Seel. Jackson Burhans and Zach Spaniol each had an assist. Sakan Sadowsky, Reid Rascoe, Cullen O’Brien, John Schatz and Chris Price played well defensively. Mike Reger recorded his fifth shutout of the season

Grafton Trail Riders Tradition Lives On

Thanks to the dedicated members and gracious landowners, the Over the Mountain Ride was a huge success the weekend of September 22 and 23, with over 85 people participating in the weekend events.  The morning started out with heavy fog at the top of the Petersburgh Pass, but the skies cleared up for the beautiful view at the top of the mountain. Brunswick Grange Tailgate Sale

On Sunday, October 7, Brunswick Grange will hold its Agricultural Tailgate Sale at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds, Rt. 67 & 40, Schaghticoke, from 8 am to 12:30 pm. More than fifty vendors will have various varieties of chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons, vegetables, plants, flowers and other agricultural items. Absolutely no dogs, cats, puppies or kittens will be allowed for sale. A donation of $15 per vendor will be charged. The event will be held rain or shine, and refreshments will be available.

Panthers Win 40 – 0 Over Stillwater

The HFCS Panthers took on the Stillwater Warriors last Friday night, September 21, on the turf in Stillwater. The Panthers jumped out to a 14 – 0 first quarter lead and never looked back. Brad Burns scored both touchdowns, one a 51 yard pass and another for 8 yards on the ground. The Panthers led 27 – 0 at the half.

HFCS Girls Soccer Wins Two

The HF  Girls Varsity Soccer Team won last Saturday, September 22, beating Cambridge 9-2. Grace Delurey and Allie Martin each had a hat trick.
