The Hoosick Falls St. Patrick’s Parade committee will host a half-way to St. Patrick’s Day event – the Hoosick Irish Open Crazy Pin Golf Scramble. The Scramble will take place on Saturday, September 22, with a 1 pm shotgun start. Each team will consist of four players. The fee is $50 per player.
Come and test your golf skills at some of the craziest pin placements. Golfers and non-golfers are welcome to attend and take a chance on great raffles. Come and enjoy the scenic views, music, bagpipes and food on the Hoosick Falls Country Club porch. Come take part in the fun.

Registrations are being accepted for the NY State mandated trapper training courses. The course will be held at the Pioneer Fish and Game Club on September 21 and 22. Pre-registration is required. Please call 686-5267 or 605-0569 to register.
Deadline Looms For HFCC Men’s Invitational Golf
The Hoosick Falls Country Club Men’s Invitational Golf Tournament will be held on September 8 and 9. It is a 36 hole medal play tournament with a two day flighted skins game and team buys in each flight. The deadline is Monday, September 3. You will not officially be in the field until your fee is paid.

Information And County Services Available At The Schaghticoke Fair
Rensselaer County Executive Kathleen M. Jimino and representatives of County Departments will be on hand at the Schaghticoke Fair to both offer services and provide information on programs and services available to County residents. The information and services will be available for the entire fair which runs from August 29 to September 3. County information and services will be located in the Hoosic Valley Fire Department building.

Ninth Annual Hoosick Republican Golf Tournament
The Town of Hoosick Republican Party will host its Ninth Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 15, at the Hoosick Falls Country Club with an 8:30 am shotgun start. The tournament will have a 4 man scramble format with 18 holes. Lunch will be served, and several prizes will be awarded. You can win $20,000 with a hole-in-one!

This is a strenuous two day hike with some off trail bushwhacking and significant elevation change. We will be traveling approximately 15 miles each day. Participants must be in excellent physical condition. There is a $10 suggested donation to offset fuel costs. As part of the Hudson River Valley Ramble, pre-registration is required.
