Hoosick Baseball Camp
The “Good Old Country Hardball” Baseball Camp will once again be held at the Hoosick Little League Fields for those entering grades 3-8. Bennington Battlefield Historic Site Hosting “A Blast At Bennington”
The Bennington Battlefield Historic Site will be hosting a summer program, “A Blast at Bennington,” on Sunday July 1, at 2 pm. This program will include a brief look into what it was like to be a child during the Revolutionary War. Participants can also try a few colonial games and a craft. Come dressed for the weather and discover what life was like way back when.

Brunswick Grange Agricultural Tailgate Sale
On Sunday, July 8, Brunswick Grange will hold its Agricultural Tailgate Sale at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds, Route 67 and 40, Schaghticoke, from 8 am to 12:30 pm. More than 50 vendors will have various varieties of chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons, vegetables, plants, flowers and other agricultural items. Absolutely no dogs, cats, puppys or kittens will be allowed for sale. A donation of $15 per vendor will be charged. The sale will be held rain or shine. Refreshments will also be available. Junior Naturalist Series At Dyken Pond
A junior naturalist series is offered at the Dyken Pond Educational Center every Tuesday afternoon from 1 to 3 pm, June 26 through August 28. This series is for all ages, the cost is $1 per child, and pre-registration is encouraged but not required. Pre-register by contacting the Center at dykenpond@fairpoint.net or 518-658-2055.

Scholarships Available For Dyken Pond Children’s Nature Camp
The Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center announces that scholarships are still available for children aged 6 through 14 to attend a one week nature camp. June 22, Friday – the Albany Area Astronomers’ Association will host its monthly Star Watch from the Deerfield Pavilion at 9:30 pm. The rain date is for the 23rd so watch the skies for weather conditions. Please call Bernard of AAAA at 658-9144 to confirm.
June 23, Saturday – Family Fishing Day – learn how to fish on Long Pond from 12 to 2 pm. As part of Free Fishing Weekend, the Park and DEC’s I Fish NY program are offering a free introduction to fishing for families. Meet along Long Pond Dam near the boathouse. Fishing poles will be provided. To hear the I Fish NY talk, please show up at 12 pm; fishing will be ongoing after that until 2 pm.
