Petersburgh Turkey Shoot
The Petersburgh Turkey Shoot will take place on October 2 at 12 noon; the rain date is October 9. This is the last chance for the summer long 50/50 raffle; the drawing is October 2.
Bring your friends, your rifles and shotguns. There will be all kinds of good food, other raffles and a good family time for all!
Brunswick Grange Tailgate Sale
On Sunday, October 2, Brunswick Grange will hold its annual fall agricultural tailgate sale at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds, Rt. 67 and 40, Schaghticoke, from 8 am to 12:30 pm. More than 50 vendors will have various varieties of chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons, plants, flowers and other related agricultural items. A donation of $15 per vendor will be charged. The Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center will hold a children’s Fall Foliage Hike on Wednesday, October 5, from 10 to 11 am. Children up to age eight can attend this hike. Bird Seed Sale To Benefit Friends Of The Dyken Pond Center
Bird seed is being offered by the Friends of the Dyken Pond Center this fall as a fundraiser to support programs and activities held at the Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center. This is a one time sale and bird seed must be pre-ordered by Friday, October 7. There will be a pick-up day on Saturday, October 15 at the Capital Agway located on NY Route 7 in Brunswick from 9 am until 12 noon. The Lady Panthers hosted the Greenwich Witches, the Panthers biggest rival in field hockey, in a game that could have big consequences in the future. September 25, Sunday – 25th Annual Barge Chaser Canoe and Kayak Race. Registration is at 9:30 am. The race starts at 10:30 am. Bring a potluck dish to enjoy after the race. Barge Chaser entry fee is $10 per person.
