Grafton Lakes State Park To Hold 26th Annual Winter Festival

Grafton Lakes State Park and the Friends of Grafton Lakes State Park will host the 26th Annual Winter Festival and Ice Fishing Contest on Saturday, January 22, from 10 am to 4 pm. The Winter Fest will feature winter exhibits, vendors, family-friendly and recreational activities. The Winter Fest is free of charge.

Siena College Adopts SMA

On Wednesday, January 5, members of the Siena College Mens and Womens basketball teams visited four Capital District schools as part of the College’s annual Adopt-a-School program. Hoosick Falls Basketball Wins Every Title At The Hoosier Holiday Basketball Tournament

The winter break from school once again brought the Hoosier Holiday Classic Basketball tournament to Hoosick Falls Central School.  All four of the Panther teams claimed tournament championships. Seventh Annual Hoosick Bowl For Kids

Get your friends, family and co-workers together for a day of bowling and fun for a great cause! The Seventh Annual Hoosick Bowl for Kids is set for Saturday, January 15, at Barbecue Recreation on Route 22 in Hoosick. Proceeds benefit the Hoosick Area Youth Center & Community Coalition (HAYC3) and programs for youth and families.

Panther Bowlers Blank Granville

On Wednesday, January 5, the Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Granville by the score of 4-0.  The total pin count was 3,652 for Hoosick Falls and 2,841 for Granville.  Hoosick Falls now has a record of 27-1 and Granville is now 18-18.

Fitness Classes At The Hoosick Area Youth Center

The Hoosick Area Youth Center & Community Coalition (HAYC3) is pleased to announce the addition of fitness training classes to its program offerings. Beginning Monday, January 17, Stacia Skorupski, a certified trainer, will offer morning training sessions at the Youth Center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 to 7:15 am.

Polar Plunge At GLSP

Applications are now being accepted for participants in the Fourth Annual Polar Plunge in Long Pond, Grafton Lakes State Park, as part of the Park’s Winter Fest.  The Winter Fest is in its 26th year with events occurring all day, January 22.  The plunge happens promptly at 1 pm with check-in beginning at noon.

Recycle Your Christmas Trees At GLSP

Grafton Lakes State Park is accepting Christmas trees for recycling after the holiday.  The trees will be recycled or reused in ways that benefit the Park and the public.  Please drop off trees – emptied of all decorations – to the Park’s maintenance shop between the hours of 8 am and 4:30 pm until January 16.
