The evening began with a nice tribute to longtime Hoosick Falls Panther football supporter and all around good guy, Brian Hall. Brian loved his Panther football. If he nicked himself, he bled Panther blue. Friend and fellow 1980 graduate Nancy Fabiano spoke about her friend and balloons were set free in Brian’s memory. Brian passed away recently from natural causes. He was 54.

Sixty runners signed in for the Third Annual Rolf Max Sternberg 5K Race for Vibrant Communities on a beautiful Saturday morning. Some racers ran to win, some ran against their previous times and some walked just to do it. Regardless of why they competed, everyone enjoyed the race. Everywhere you turned Saturday; there were nearly as many dogs as there were people strolling along the beach. It was Grafton Lakes State Park’s first annual Bark and Brew, and by all accounts, a huge success. Two of the all time leaders in goals scored, Liz Ryan and Ally Burdick, are leading the offense, and the defense is keeping opposing offenses from scoring at all. 9/10, at Hoosic Valley. The Panthers got out to a 3 – 0 first half lead and cruised through the second half to grab a win. Jordyn Haynes scored three goals and Taylor Mann added two. Keelan Seifert, Darian Morgan, Kelly Pine and McKenzie Bradley each added one goal. Taylor Mann had two assists, Keelan Seifert, McKenzie Bradley, Angela Gonzales and Darian Morgan added one assist each. Panther goalie Jayde Tutunjian had six saves in goal.
