Karen McGovern Volleyball Tourney Is Saturday

September 5, 2014 By eastwickpress

The Karen McGovern Volleyball Tourney is this Saturday, September 6, at the Sandbar. Money raised from this tourney helps numerous families and individuals in our area cope with cancer or other life threatening or long term illnesses. Our funds provide money to help with travel, medical equipment or other living expenses associated with these illnesses.

This year we honor two very special people who were instrumental in not only this tournament but in Karen’s life as well – Isabelle McGuire and Matt Philpott. The Tourney begins around 9:30 or 10 am, and the awards and acknowledgements will be at noonish when we break for lunch. The Sandbar has been very generous over the years and provides food and the courts for the day. Hope to see you there!
