TVYB 5th Grade Girls Bring Home Trophy

The Taconic Valley Youth Basketball (TVYB) 5th grade girls team brought home the first trophy for TVYB on Monday night.

International Musician Sean Gaskell To Play West African Kora At New Lebanon Library

Internationally renowned musician Sean Gaskell will perform at the New Lebanon Library on Friday, April 8 at 6:30 pm. The program, which is free and open to the public, will feature works for the Kora, an ancient 21-stringed harp from West Africa.  Gaskell will perform traditional songs that are the heart and soul of the Kora’s musical repertoire in addition to some of his own personal compositions. Did you know that Clara Barton organized the American Red Cross in Dansville, New York? Dansville is located in Livingston County; it is a quiet, picturesque village in the Finger Lakes region of central New York. In 1873 when Clara returned from Europe to America she was exhausted and in need of rest. She sought out Dr. James Jackson, founder of Our Home on the Hillside in Dansville for his water cure.
