For 25 years the Agricultural Stewardship Association has worked to accomplish a singular mission: protect the farms, the rich soils and agricultural landscape in Washington and Rensselaer counties for generations to come. In that time we’ve managed to conserve 101 farms and over 16,000 acres! The evening began with a nice tribute to longtime Hoosick Falls Panther football supporter and all around good guy, Brian Hall. Brian loved his Panther football. If he nicked himself, he bled Panther blue. Friend and fellow 1980 graduate Nancy Fabiano spoke about her friend and balloons were set free in Brian’s memory. Brian passed away recently from natural causes. He was 54.

Anne M. Maney
Stephentown – Anne M. Maney, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center. Born and raised in Framingham, MA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Jessie Dube. Anne resided in Derry, NH, Hudson, MA and Lancaster, MA before moving to Stephentown, NY in 1985.
She was the co-owner of Rita Marie’s Restaurant in Lanesborough, MA for over 15 years. She enjoyed traveling, playing Phase Ten card game, staying up late and was involved in the 4-H with riding and raising horses. She is the beloved wife of James P. Maney whom she married in 1974; devoted and loving mother of Diane (Rodney Dufault) Marcheterre of Rochester, NH, Fred Martin and Bobby (Brenda) Martin both of Florida, Glenn (Darlene) Martin of Nottingham, NH and Danielle (Brian) Kelley of Clifton Park, NY. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends called at Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, Monday morning September 28, and a funeral Mass was held at noon at St. Joseph’s Church in Stephentown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Stephentown Fire Company, 396 State Rt. 43, Stephentown, NY 12168.
