ADAPT Planning For After-Prom Celebration

ADAPT (Alcohol Drug Abuse Prevention Team), a committee responsible for planning and hosting a safe, substance-free after-prom celebration for the junior class and their guests, is underway with its planning sessions. The committee is looking for HFCS Class of 2012 parents/guardians to join in the planning sessions and fundraising efforts for this event.

Berlin Elementary PTO Pancake Breakfast

The Berlin Elementary PTO is sponsoring a pancake breakfast on Sunday, March 20, from 8 to 11 am at the Berlin Elementary School.  We are serving pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage. The cost is $5 for adults, $4 for children under 12 and seniors and free for kids under 3.

Benefit Spaghetti And Meatball Dinner

There will be a benefit spaghetti and meatball dinner for the James Bettis family on Saturday, March 19, beginning at 4:30 pm at the North Hoosick Fire Station on Rt. 22. Fire destroyed their Cobble Hill home on March 2.
Tickets for this benefit cost $10 for adults, and $5 for children 10 and under. Anyone who would like to make a donation may do so through the Fire Department at the time of the event. Tickets may be purchased in advance by contacting Chief Alan Bornt at 378-4538 or Eric Amidon at 686-0928. Depending upon sales, tickets may be available at the door.

Kristi Bennett Of Petersburgh Promoted In National Guard

Major General Patrick A. Murphy, The Adjutant General for the State of New York, recently announced the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.
