Interested In Joining Girl Scouts?

There will be an open house for girls and families interested in Girl Scouting on Thursday, September 16, at 6:30 pm at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Berlin. Leaders will be available to talk about Girl Scouting and register new girls. Activities and light refreshments will be available. For more information, please call Sue Cass at 733-6488.

Brunswick Library News

September events at the Brunswick Community Library at 4118 State Rt. 2 are:
• Storytime for ages up to 5 is held every Saturday at 11 am.
• Old Daley Chicken BBQ is on Friday, September 10, to benefit the Library. The BBQ will be held at the Wal-Mart Plaza on Route 7 from 4 to 7 pm. Dinner is $10 and includes potato, coleslaw and dessert. Buy your tickets at the Library now!
• The Friends of the Brunswick Community Library will  meet at the Library on Saturday, September 11, at 10 am.

Learn To Clog

Afghanistan Is Topic At Stephentown Book Group

Learn more about life in Afghanistan at the Stephentown Memorial Library Book Club meeting on Tuesday, September 7, at 7 pm featuring guest speaker J. Thalia Cunningham, M.D., FACEP. Dr. Cunningham, an emergency physician, travel writer and playwright, will discuss her experiences in Afghanistan, which she has visited seven times. She will join the group in discussing Back to Afghanistan: My Journey from California to Kabul by Said Hyder Akbar, which provides some background for the discussion. The public is cordially invited to attend the meeting.

AARP Defensive Driving Course In Grafton

Brunswick Elks Auxiliary Chicken Parm

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Brunswick Elks #2556 will hold a Chicken Parm Dinner on Friday, September 17. The Lodge is located at 665 Brunswick Road in Eagle Mills.
Dinner costs $10 for adults, and $5 for children under 12.  You may eat-in or take-out. For more information or reservations, call 283-3598.

St. Stanislaw Society Labor Day Clam Steam
