Hoosick Falls Country Club Thursday Night Better Ball Winners

In Division One Kyle DeGraaf and Denny McEvoy won the Better Ball Gross portion of the Thursday Night League Gross/Net Better Ball competition with a two under par 32 for nine holes, The  score of 28 by Brad Eastman and Mike Hickey took Low Net.

Berlin Middle/High School Sports Practices

Sports conditioning classes will be held for all athletes from  9 am to 11 am starting August 16.
Boys JV and Varsity Soccer practices start August 23, from 8:30 to 10:30 am.
Girls JV and Varsity Soccer practices start August 23 from 5 to 7 pm.
Girls JV and Varsity Volleyball practices start August 23 from 6 to 8 pm.
Varsity Cross Country starts on August 23 from 8 to 9:30 am and 6 to 8 pm.
Modified boys and girls soccer and modified cross country starts the first day of school, September 8, at 2:15 pm.

Berlin High School Golf Fund Raiser

More than thirty students from Berlin High School will be travelling to Spain next April and, in an effort to help defray the cost of their trip, they will be sponsoring a golf tournament at the Windy Hills Country Club in Greenwich, NY, on Saturday, August 21. The cost per person is $80 and includes a continental breakfast, greens fees, cart rental, hot-dogs and refreshments at the turn and a dinner buffet after the tournament. Texas Hold’em

The Veterans of Stephentown and the Stephentown Fire Department will sponsor a joint Texas Hold’em Tournament on Saturday, August 21, in the Stephentown Fire Hall, located on Grange Hall Road in Stephentown. The doors will open at 5 pm and close at 6 pm. Play begins at 6:15 sharp.

Memories Of Center Berlin

Sherman Jenne will present an evening of pictures and memories as a young boy growing up in Center Berlin to the Taconic Valley Historical Society. The meeting will be held at the United Methodist Church, South Main Street, Berlin, on Monday, August 16, at 7:30 pm. There will be refreshments and a social time following the program. Everyone is welcome.

Girl Scout Bake Sale And Car Wash On Saturday

Girl Scout Service Unit 154 is having a bake sale at Stewart’s in Berlin from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, August 14.
If you want your car washed and some baked goods at the same time, there will also be a combination car wash and bake sale at Eagle Energy on Route 22 on Saturday, August 14, from 10 am to 2 pm.

Raptors Soar

Julie Anne Collier of Wingmasters will present “North American Birds of Prey” on Wednesday, August 18, at 2 pm at the New Lebanon Library. The program concludes the Library’s Summer Reading Program and will be followed by an Ice Cream Social.

Strengthening Families In Hoosick Falls

A free, seven week program for parents or guardians and children ages 10 to 14 is coming to Hoosick Falls. Slated to begin on September 29, the program will be held at the Hoosick Youth & Community Center.  Past program participants rave about how much they learned and how much fun they had doing it.

Shatford Little League Registration
