Sunday Ceremony At The Hoosick Rural Cemetery
The public is invited to gather at the Hoosick Rural Cemetery on Sunday, May 30, at 7 pm to honor the more than 100 veterans buried there. A brief ceremony will include a prayer and the playing of taps.

Lifelong Friends Both Receive SUNY Potsdam Award
Two Berlin graduates, and lifelong friends, have been named the recipients of the “Clarkson Family Award” for 3-2 engineering at the State University of New York at Potsdam. Nicholas Paine, son of Jeff and Diane Paine of Petersburgh, and Matthew Hartnett, son of Joyce and Michael Hartnett of Berlin, both 2007 graduates of Berlin Central School received the prestigious “Clarkson Family Award” given by the Clarkson family to a student (this year two) who has excelled in the Potsdam portion of the 3-2 engineering program.
