Stephentown Annual Easter Egg Hunt

The Stephentown Youth Commission Annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on  Saturday, April 3, at 12:30 pm at the  Stephentown Firemen’s Pavilion on Grange Hall Road. The hunt is for children pre-k through fifth grade. This event will be held entirely outdoors – please dress appropriately.  Don’t forget your Easter basket to collect your treats. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around! Adult supervision is required.

Restoring Cemeteries

The meeting is at 7:30 pm at the Heritage Center on Garfield Road (County Route 26) in Stephentown. It is free and open to the public. The building is handicapped accessible. Stephentown Book Group To Meet

The Stephentown Library Book Discussion Group will read Kaaterskill Falls: a Novel by Allegra Goodman for its meeting on Thursday, April 1.  A rich exploration of the summer of 1976 in a tiny Catskill town where Jewish Orthodox summer people and Yankee year-rounders coexist.  The communities are changing – the lives of Orthodox women as they seek their own identities, the religious community as their beloved rabbi nears the end of his life and chooses a successor and the town as over-development threatens the wooded hills.

On February 16, John Hendricks and his family of Berlin received word that he was recommended and accepted by peers, instructors and community leaders to participate in the People to People Student Ambassador Program. Acceptance into the program was based on a demonstration of leadership and citizenship, a desire to learn about diverse cultures and a willingness to venture into the world in the name of peace, friendship and understanding.
