It would seem that the Town of Berlin has entered the twenty-first century. At the Town Board meeting on Thursday night, February 11, Town Supervisor Rob Jaeger announced that the Town’s website is up and running. It can be found at http://www.berlin-ny.us (don’t try to Google it). At the moment, it is a bare bones site that mimics the Town of Hoosick website, according to Jaeger, but all the tabs are functioning. Stephentown Town Board Action – Bridges To Somewhere

Bridges was the hot topic at the Stephentown Town Board meeting Monday evening. Town officials are concerned that the Town could soon be faced with huge costs for repairing or replacing six bridges that the County says it is responsible for. Town Supervisor Larry Eckhardt put this in the context of the woeful state of infrastructure nationwide, saying that governments at all levels have been “robbing Peter to pay Paul, and we are no different.”

Petersburgh Town Board Action – Petersburgh Goes Digital

Petersburgh Supervisor Peter Schaaphok said a website for the Town is in the works and he expects it to be on-line in a week or two. It will be at www.Petersburgh.org. The Town is also working on getting broadband internet access for all Town departments and Town email addresses for all Town officials.

Grafton Town Board Action – Is Dumpster Complaint Rubbish?

During the Town Board meeting in Grafton on February 11, Rick and Sara Ungaro were in attendance to make a complaint to the Board. The Ungaros claimed they were approached by Tom Withcuskey, Grafton Code Enforcement Officer, on January 31, in a neighbor’s home about their dumpster and how it needed to be fenced in. Hoosick Planning Board And ZBA See Issue Differently

The Town of Hoosick Planning Board meeting took place this past Tuesday evening, February 16, inside the Hoosick Falls Armory with Chairman Jim Dunigan calling the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. Following the Pledge of Allegiance the minutes of the previous month’s meeting were approved. There were six Board members present, including two new Board members, along with Board Attorney Stan King and Recording Secretary Karen Jennings.
