NYS AG Office: A Resource For Seniors

Timothy Clune, Chief of the Health Care Bureau of the Office of NYS Attorney General Andrew Cuomo assured everyone attending the ROUSE (Rensselaer Organization United for Senior Endeavors) meeting at the Hoosick Falls Senior Center on Wednesday, May 20, that when they called his office there would be no “touch tone torture.”

HFCS Voters Pass Budget Handily

The Hoosick Falls School District’s budget passed by a vote of 533 to 176. The bus proposition passed by a vote of 496 to 172. Laurie Gormley was re-elected to another term on the School Board with 522 votes, and newcomer Ryerson Mausert, 3rd was elected to the School Board with 484 votes.

NLCS Voters Approve Budget

Voters in the New Lebanon Central School District on Tuesday easily approved a $12.8 million budget that calls for a tax levy increase of only 0.13%. The vote was 275 yes and 91 no.
