A show case of counted cross stitch embroidery will be held April 3-5 at the Everett Wagar Senior Center in Grafton. The show will feature a spectacular display of the handiwork of Sally Statile of Grafton and her sister, Nancy Stowell. Sally has been engaged with counted cross stitch for 30 yeas, and Nancy has more than 20 years experience. The sisters will be available to meet and talk with other avid cross stitch and needlework people. Hours are Friday, April 3, 4-7 pm, Saturday, April 4, 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday, April 5, 10 am to 3 pm. For more information, please call Sally at 279-0149.

SYC Is Going Tubing
On Saturday, March 7, the Stephentown Youth Commission is going snow tubing at Bousquet Ski Area. If you are interested in attending, please contact Debbie Angley to make arrangements at 733-6178. The cost is $12 per person. Please arrive at the Stephentown Elementary school by 12 pm. Tubing is scheduled from 1 to 3 pm.
Get Your Girl Scout Cookies
Girl Scout Troop 1154 will be selling the much loved and favorite varieties of Girl Scout Cookies on Saturday, March 7. There will be two opportunities to purchase cookies – at Dave’s Market from 10 am to 2 pm and again at the Stephentown Fire Department’s Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner from 5 to 7 pm. The K of C Buffet breakfast is Sunday, March 8, from 8 to 11 am at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall, Hoosick Falls. Breakfast includes eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, home fries, muffins, orange juice, etc. The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under. Proceeds will benefit Boy Scout Troop 65.
