The Hoosick Falls Central School boys basketball season got off to a positive start last Wednesday, November 26, when they won their opening round game over Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School to the tune of 55-47 in overtime in the opening round of the Rensselaer High School Thanksgiving Tip-Off Tournament. New first year varsity basketball Coach Kerry Branigan saw her Hoosick Falls Central School Panther girls basketball team drop their season opening, first round game in the Mechanicville Thanksgiving Tip-Off Tournament on Friday, November 28, versus the tourney host, the Mechanicville Red Raiders, by a 43-35 score.

The Berlin Central School District has begun the process of registering kindergarten students for the 2009-2010 school year.
If you have a child who will be five years of age on or before December 1, 2009, please call 658-3450 or 733-5454 from December 8 through January 9 between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm to make sure your child is listed on our kindergarten register. This will ensure that you will receive the kindergarten registration packet by mail.
All registration paperwork including a copy of your child’s Birth or Baptismal Certificate and proof of residence must be hand delivered to Berlin Elementary School by February 9, 2009. Drop off times are between 8:30 am and 3 pm Monday through Friday.
Need a leg up for college? Upward Bound at Southern Vermont College, a federally funded program through the Department of Education, is currently seeking applications from eligible high school students in grades nine, ten and eleven.
