Funeral services for Evelyn Carelli will be held on Saturday May 21, at 1 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, New York. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 am until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad or the Buskirk Fire Department through the funeral home.

At its May 10 meeting, The Rensselaer County legislature unanimously approved the sale of the former WCW building at 1 Mechanic Street to the 1150 Scottsville Rd LLC for $140,000. The room was overcrowded, as it often is lately, at the Town of Hoosick Board meeting on Monday, May 9. This month, many extra people came out to the meeting to help the Town celebrate the 90th birthday of one of Hoosick’s most respected and community-minded people, Town Historian Phil Leonard.

At the Monday, May 9 Town of Hoosick Board meeting, the Board discussed the pros and cons of starting the Town revaluation project this year and ultimately decided that the project should not be delayed a year, and should proceed as originally planned, starting this year.
