Hoosick Falls – Mr. John (Jack) Cramer, 82, of 1 Nixon Street died on August 31, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born on December 16, 1932, he was the son of the late Henry and Helena (Regan) Cramer. He is survived by his two daughters Maria (Brian) Rousseau, of Hoosick Falls and Lisa (Glen) Johnson Cramer of Rhode Island and daughter-in-law Lynn Cramer of Hoosick Falls. Approximately 25 jobs were lost when McDonald’s at 21451 Route 22 closed its doors Monday evening. Tuesday morning workers were on the site to remove the signage and prepare to shut down the building. The employees had no notice of the closing, and most were surprised when they heard the news. Planning Board Chairwoman Pamula Gerstel opened the August 27 meeting with news of the resignation of alternate board member Jennifer Wager. Besides serving as an alternate, Ms. Wager also frequently took the minutes of their meetings. As a whole the board agreed her services will be missed. The Petersburgh Planning Board met with the Supervisor and two members of the Town Board, Alan Webster and Denise Church, to discuss the latest draft of the Planning Board’s proposed new local law regulating manufactured homes and recreational vehicles. The law does not go into great detail – it relies on State regulations to explicate the details. Instead the law, just four pages long, establishes some basic ground rules about installation and occupancy of the various types of manufactured homes.
