Siegfried Krahforst was renominated as Supervisor as was Callie Crisp as Town Clerk, Ray Harrison as Highway Superintendent and Emily Harrison as Tax Collector. County Honors Hoosick Falls Deceased Veteran Jay E. Arnold

The late Jay E. Arnold, whose cumulative service in the United States Air Force, Guard and Reserve spanned more than three decades including during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, was recognized by Rensselaer County’s Honor-A-Deceased Veteran Committee and County officials on Monday, August 12, during services at the County Office Building.

Owls Are A Hit At The Armory

A crowd of at least 150 adults and youngsters were able to get up close and personal with three owls Wednesday evening at the HAYC3 Armory. Trained wildlife rehabilitator Trish Marki of the Wildlife Institute of Eastern New York and her assistant Dave brought three owls for everyone to see and to learn about. Town Of Hoosick Republicans Hold Caucus

The Town of Hoosick Republican Committee held its caucus recently to select candidates for the November 5 election. The committee will run incumbent Keith Cipperly for Town Supervisor for a third term. Incumbent Jeff Wysocki and a newcomer, Joyce Brewer, were voted in to run for the two Town Council seats.

The Berlin Rescue Squad desperately needs volunteers – both EMTs and drivers. To continue to provide services to our community, we need to grow our pool of volunteers. All course materials are paid for and mileage for training is reimbursed upon successful completion of training.
Any interested individuals should contact Rescue Squad Captain Tammy Osterhout at 658-2924 or any other Rescue Squad member. Your interest and concern for your community is appreciated – please consider joining us in service.
