Duane and Betsy Greenawalt have been working hard this season to find ways to raise the $70,000 necessary to purchase digital equipment to keep the Hathaway’s Drive-in in North Hoosick open. BCS Capital Project Bond Passes

The Berlin Central School District Board of Education has finally passed the Capital Project Bond authorization which will allow the District to purchase $5 million in bonds to fund a $6.8 million rehabilitation project of the District’s two working buildings.

Changes in leadership are already in place at the New Lebanon Central School District for the 2013-14 school year. The District welcomes Rick Arket as the Assistant Principal of the Jr./Sr. High School. Riot At The Rink; Wrestling Tournament Draws Hundreds

On Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28, a major wrestling event was held in Hoosick Falls, the fourth year of what is now called “Riot at the Rink.” According to organizer Mike LaPorte and his assistant Walter Sass, 14 teams, consisting of more than 245 wrestlers, came to wrestle at the wrestling tournament. Boy Scouts Visit The Petersburgh Town Court

On Tuesday evening, July 13, a small group of Boy Scouts from Troop 222 in Petersburgh had an opportunity to see how government works by visiting a town court and seeing real live cases being brought before the court. Stephentown Memorial Library’s Pilot Afternoon Summer Camp Program Emphasizes Science, Conservation, Art and Physical Education
The Stephentown Memorial Library in collaboration with the Stephentown Youth Commission launched a pilot afternoon camp program this summer for Stephentown children ages 5 through 12. Twenty children participated in a two hour afternoon program housed at the Library, starting with free lunch through Rensselaer County.
