The Annual Meeting of the Stephentown Cemetery Association that had been scheduled for May 4 was postponed. It will be held on May 11 at 1 pm at the home of Lisa Wheeler, 622 East Road in Stephentown.

Volunteers Needed To Make A Bocce Court In Grafton
The Everett Wagar Senior Center, 2 Roxborough Road, Grafton is looking for a few volunteers to help build a bocce court. Phase one, on Saturday May 11, will be to level the ground and build the framework. New Lebanon Jr./Sr. High School To Host Annual Memorial Day Assembly
On Thursday, May 23, at 9 am, the New Lebanon Jr./Sr. High School will be hosting its Third Annual Memorial Day Assembly to honor our servicemen and women and all who gave their lives in defense of our country.
All veterans and current members of any branch of the military are invited to join the American Legion Post #1236 of New Lebanon and the Berkshire Chapter 65 Vietnam Veterans of America in the high school gymnasium as our honored guests. Family and community members are also welcomed and encouraged to attend the festivities in memory of our fallen heroes and in celebration of those who serve.

HFCS Girls Lacrosse Takes On Albany And Schenectady At Home

On Monday, May 6, the Lady Panther lacrosse team hosted the Schenectady Patriots. The Ladies struggled throughout the contest to keep pace with the Patriots, ultimately losing 21-6. Sophomore Jordyn Haynes scored three goals for the Panthers with Keri Wilkins adding two. Goalies Madison Greenwood and Kara LaFlamme had a total of five saves for the home team.

HFCS Boys Lacrosse Drops Two

Last Thursday, May 2, the Panther boys lacrosse team ventured down Route 7 to Troy to take on the Lansingburgh Knights in North Troy. The Panthers were defeated, dropping a 17-3 decision to the Knights. Noah Labarge, Dan Dalpe and Matt Sprague each had a goal. Chris Schielding had nine saves in the goal.

The Final ADAPT Meeting And Final Fundraising Push
ADAPT – the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team of HFCS junior parents/guardians hosting the substance free, after-prom activities on May 18-19 – is down to crunch time in its fundraising efforts. All families of juniors are encouraged to help out in any way they can with financial donations, prizes and giveaways, volunteering time and/or chaperoning.
ADAPT needs a lot more hands to make this after-prom celebration a reality. Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend the last meeting. on May 13 at 6:30 pm at the HFCS Elementary School Library or to email ADAPT at hfcs.adapt@gmail.com to do their part in making this a successful evening.
