It Takes A Village To Make A Village Thrive; Volunteer Days At The Armory
HAYC3 is about to embark on the ambitious task of readying the Armory for new events and programs to benefit the entire community, and we need your help.
Volunteer Days will be held January 12 and 13 and February 16 and 23 starting at 9 am. With a bit of elbow grease, good humor and love from the entire community, we’ll be able to revive this beautiful structure into a thriving hub for events, markets, galleries, recreation, studios and more. If you can hold a paintbrush, push a broom, make a sandwich, change a light bulb or simply make a neighbor laugh, then you are more than qualified and, more importantly, needed!
Please stop by for any period that fits into your busy schedule. Any gift of time will be greatly appreciated. For more information call 686-9050.

The men and women of the Stardusters Band looked sharp in their black slacks, white shirts and red bow ties on Sunday afternoon, December 16. They played their first ever Christmas Concert. Former Petersburgh Resident Publishes Third Book
William C. Webster, who grew up on the family farm on Armsby Road in Petersburgh, has published his third book, a work of fiction entitled Wentworth Rock. A sequel to his first two books, the story is centered in rural areas of Vermont and New Hampshire and holds fast to the Jeffersonian ideals that characterized his previous works.
Webster attended the tiny, one room Petersburgh School District Number Three for his elementary years. After graduating from Hoosick Falls Central School in 1962, he attended Susquehanna University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in history and government. He earned a Master of Arts Degree in history from East Stroudsburg University and taught history, government and economics in the Delaware Valley School District for thirty years.

Hoosick Grange News
It was our Christmas Party night at Hoosick Grange on December 12. We welcomed the Mennonite Singers and their families. The program started at 7:30 pm. They sang many of the traditional Christmas songs, ending with “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” with everyone singing along with them. Marion Hynick thanked the group for a great performance. They were invited for some delicious refreshments of ice cream, punch and lots of goodies. This was a nice time to visit with them.

Letter To The Editor – NY Alert
