HFCS PTA Fall Festival – Fun For All!
On Saturday, October 20, the HFCS PTA held its twelfth annual Fall Festival and is pleased to report it was a grand success. HFCS was bustling with over 400 attendees and bursting with spirit with vendors selling their wares, kids doing craft projects, young and young-at-heart dancing the “cake walk,” a ghoulishly fun Haunted Hall and everyone enjoying baked goods and food provided by The Lions Club.

To the people of Grafton:
After reading this week’s Eastwick Press, I feel I’m compelled to respond. First let me introduce myself. My name is Bill Middleton, and as well as being a resident of Grafton, I’m also the Democratic Chairman.
Last year we ran a campaign which included a platform of changes which we felt were in keeping with the wishes of the residents of Grafton. I believe this platform was the reason the residents of Grafton elected this board. For the first time, since I can remember, the board is not just rubber stamping the agenda. But are questioning it.

A letter to the Editor of the Eastwick Press:
I wish to express my strong concerns as to the journalist standards observed by Mr. Kramer in his article on the Grafton Town Board meeting of late. While correctly reporting on some of the substance of the meeting, this article is filled with numerous instances of personnel reflections on what should or should not have taken place, as well as criticism of the actions of the board. These reflections and criticisms have no place in the body of an article that purports to be an accurate description of the meeting. And this is not the first time I have found fault with Mr. Kramer’s reporting. He has a propensity to editorialize throughout his articles.

HFCS Field Hockey Moves On In Sectionals

The first game in Sectional play for Hoosick Falls Field Hockey was Monday evening, October 22, in Schuylerville, on artificial turf and under the lights. Number 2 seed HFCS played #7 seed Granville. It was the third time this season the two teams had met. Once again HF was the victor, this time with a 4-0 score.

On Thursday October 18 the Berlin Central School Girls Varsity Volleyball team played its final home game of the season against Taconic High School. You get a “Decebration Party!” The fourth, fifth and sixth grade teachers hosted their annual Decebration Party on September 12.
