Native American Sites In Rensselaer County

Warren Broderick will present an illustrated talk on Native American sites in Rensselaer County to the Stephentown Historical Society on Monday, February 6, at 7:30 pm. The meeting will be at the Stephentown Heritage Center on Garfield Road in Stephentown. It is free and open to the public. The building is handicapped accessible. Berlin Fire Department Breakfast

On Sunday, February 5, from 7 to 11 am, the Berlin Fire Department will be holding its fresh, hot off the griddle monthly breakfast.  For your eating pleasure we include all you can eat pancakes, French toast and biscuits for our homemade sausage gravy, sausage and bacon, toast, home fries and eggs (scrambled, sunny side, over easy or over hard). Beverage choices include coffee, tea, (both decaf available), hot chocolate, milk and orange juice.

Veterans Of Stephentown Texas Hold’em

The Veterans of Stephentown  will hold a Texas Hold’em Tournament on Saturday, February 11, in the Stephentown Fire Hall, located at 37 Grange Hall Road in Stephentown. The doors will open at 5 pm and close at 6 pm. Play begins at 6:15 sharp.
A free buffet will be served at the first break.
No advance registration is required, and a donation of $35 per player will be accepted. Players can make an additional $10 donation at the door for 1,000 extra chips. This tournament will pay one place for every ten players with a minimum of four places.

Berlin – Nancy L. Saunders Church Mroz, 56, of Park Avenue, Berlin, NY, died on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Albany Medical Center after a long illness.
Born July 7, 1955, in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late Murry R. and Edna Weaver Saunders Sr. She was the wife of Michael R. Mroz, whom she married in Adams, MA, on Valentine’s Day 1998. A 1973 graduate of Berlin Central High School, she was a former member of the Petersburgh United Methodist Church.
