On April 9 the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation announced changes in the 2009-10 operating schedules at a number of parks and historic sites in the Saratoga-Capital Region.  The changes reflect a reduction in State spending at parks and historic sites statewide.

The building at 34 Elm St. is no more. Neglected for years, the windows were boarded and the roof was collapsed in places. In winter snow covered the floor of the second story. HFCS Board Passes Budget With 0% Increase In Tax Levy

In a fairly short meeting on April 7, the Hoosick Falls School Board finalized the budget that it will be presenting to the voters next month.
