Sand Lake Historical Society And Bicentennial Planning Meeting

There will be a  combined meeting of the Sand Lake Historical Society  and the Bicentennial Planning Committee on Tuesday, September 11, at 6 pm at the Sand Lake Baptist Church, 2960 NY 43 in Averill Park. It will be a  covered dish dinner. Please bring an entrée or salad. Dessert, beverages and table settings will be provided. The program will be the Bicentennial in Review. Your pictures and remembrances will be welcomed as well as items of historical significance to be considered for the time capsule. Musical selections will be provided by Betsy & Steve Fry and Friends

Robin O’Herin To Perform At The New Lebanon Library

Berkshire musician Robin O’Herin will be performing at the New Lebanon Library on Friday, September 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. This event is free and open to the public, although donations for the performer are appreciated.
O’Herin specializes in historically rich, interactive concerts that include original and traditional American music. Two Weekend Events At Sand Lake Center For The Arts

Keelaghan In Concert
The Sand Lake Center for the Arts will present James Keelaghan in concert on Saturday, September 8, at 8 pm. Known as “Canada’s finest singer/songwriter. . . a man for all seasons,” Keelaghan has received the esteemed Juno award (Canada’s Grammy).  He is acclaimed from Australia to England and Scandinavia with his masterful storytelling, lilting baritone and driving rhythmic guitar. The New Lebanon Town Clerk, Colleen Teal, reports that the Lebanon Valley Seniors are hosting a Flu Clinic on Tuesday, November 13, from 9:30 to 11:30 am at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall.

September Events At The New Lebanon Library

The New Lebanon Library announces the following September events. All of these events are free and will take place at the Library which is located at 550 State Route 20 with the exception of the book sale, which will take place at the Midtown Mall in New Lebanon.
• September 4 – Kid’s Yoga – 10:15 am.
• September 5, 12, 19, 26 (event is on Wednesdays) – Tales for Tots Story Hour – 10:30 am. Story hour includes crafts, songs and movement activities.
• September 5, 12, 19, 26  (event is on Wednesdays) – Hug-A-Bye Babies – noon. This event includes age appropriate stories, songs and movement activities for our youngest patrons and their caregivers.
