New Lebanon Central School Memorial Day Assembly

On Wednesday, May 23, at 9 am, the New Lebanon Jr./Sr. High School will be hosting its second annual Memorial Day Assembly to honor our servicemen and women and all who gave their lives in defense of our country. This year we are proud to welcome Congressman and US Army Veteran Chris Gibson as our featured speaker.
All veterans and current members of any branch of the military are invited to join the American Legion Post #1236 of New Lebanon and the Berkshire Chapter 65 Vietnam Veterans of America in the high school gymnasium as our honored guests. Family and community members are also welcome and encouraged to attend the festivities in memory of our fallen heroes and in celebration of those who serve.

LVPA Pancake Breakfast

Join family and friends at the New Lebanon Fire House on Rt. 20 in New Lebanon on May 6 from 8 to 12 am for a great pancake breakfast. Pancakes of several varieties, eggs, toast, French toast, bacon, sausage, coffee, tea, juice and real maple syrup will be on the menu. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

Stephentown ZBA Approves Scope Of Motocross Park EIS

At a special meeting on April 17 the Stephentown Zoning Board of Appeals approved the final Scope for an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to be prepared in the SEQR process for Howard Commander’s proposed Motocross park. Commander’s team, led by his engineer Patrick Prendergast, agreed to put together a Draft EIS. It will not be ready for the next ZBA meeting, which would normally be held on May 3, but Prendergast said he would give a progress report sometime next month.
