Born in Troy, NY, on April 18, 1944, he was the son of Leon and Loretta Rondeau Blanchard. He was the loving husband of the former Lois Denton, whom he married on February 27, 1965, in Troy.

Chrismas Bells Are Ringing To Help The Needy
Salvation Army red kettles in Hoosick Falls are filling up with green and silver quickly this holiday season thanks to the five JLS Foundation scholarship finalists as well as other hearty volunteers and businesses. The kettle drive, which began the week after Thanksgiving, received renewed fervor this year as the needs of the community continue to rise. Bell ringers are manning kettles at the Grand Union and the Hoosick Falls Federal Credit Union. Counter top kettles are located at Thorpe’s Pharmacy, True Value Hardware, the Falls Diner and the Big Moose Deli.

The Hoosick Zoning Board of Appeals held a Public Hearing Monday evening, December 6, on a special use permit submitted by Tracy Muscatello to build a 7,000 square foot dog kennel on her 22 acre property on the Buskirk-West Hoosick Road. About thirty people attended the hearing.

New Lebanon To Vote Saturday On Town Hall Project

The Town of New Lebanon will hold a voter referendum on Saturday, December 11, from 11 am to 5 pm at the Church of The Immaculate Conception, US Rt. 20, New Lebanon. All registered voters of New Lebanon are eligible to vote.

Stephentown ZBA Seeks Lead Agency Status In Motocross Application

In a brief meeting on Thursday, December 2, the Stephentown Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) voted to take lead agency status in the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) process regarding a revised application from Howard Commander to build a Motocross sports park off of Webster Hill Road. The Board also voted to contact all interested and involved agencies requesting consent to this action.
