Cheney Library Spring Story Time

PTO Pancakes

The Berlin Elementary School PTO is sponsoring a pancake breakfast on Sunday, March 14, at the Berlin Elementary School from 8 to 11 am, serving pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage.  The cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children under 12 and for seniors and free for kids under 3.

Brunswick Elks Fish Fry Dinner

The Brunswick Lodge of Elks # 2556 will be hosting two fish fry dinners to be held at the lodge on Friday, March 19, and Friday, April 2, from 5:30 to 8 pm. Dinner includes fish fry and roll, French fries, coleslaw, a cup of clam chowder, a small soda, coffee, decaf and tea. A cash bar is available. A kid’s menu, grilled cheese or hot dogs, is also an option.

A.D.A.P.T. Dance

The North Hoosick Fire Department is sponsoring its annual A.D.A.P.T. Dance on Friday, March 5, at the Fire Station from 7 to 10:30 pm. This dance raises funds for the A.D.A.P.T. Committee, which sponsors the after prom event. Students ages 9 to 15 are invited to attend the dance.

Agnes Mary Powers

Hoosick – Agnes Mary (Knapp) Powers, 92, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at the Centers for Living & Rehabilitation in Bennington, VT, where she resided since 2001. She had formerly resided in East Hoosick, NY, with her husband Richard J. Powers Sr. Agnes and Richard were married on July 20, 1936, at St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington and were married for 57 years.
