When Town Supervisor Robert Jaeger announced at the Berlin Town Board meeting on Thursday evening, September 10, that the purchase of the Berlin Lumber site for a municipal center was no longer viable because three Board members were opposed to it, there was an immediate, quite vocal ground swell of support expressed for the project. Assemblyman Gordon To Visit New Lebanon

Assemblyman Tim Gordon will bring his Mobile District Office Tour to the New Lebanon Library on Monday, September 21, between the hours of 11 am and 1 pm. This is an effort to allow folks in the community to bring their concerns to their Assemblyman right in their own hometown. The Mobile District Office Tour will visit various locations throughout the 108th Assembly District.
For more information, call 518-794-8844. The Library, at 550 State Route 20, is located  mile north of the yellow blinking light at the intersection of Routes 20 and 22.

Teen Basketball Tournament

All teenagers (ages 13-19) are invited to the Petersburgh Baptist Church for a basketball tournament on Saturday, September 26, at 3 pm. There will be a $50 prize for the winning team, a hot dog roast for all participants and a short program. Please register your team (five players) by September 22 by sending an email with players’ names, ages and phone numbers to Basketball_Tourney@yahoo.com. Questions can also be sent to this email address. Alternatively, call 518-577-2035. Participation is free.
