Charles Niles, 27, of Buskirk is in serious condition in Albany Medical Center Hospital after a train ran over his lower legs at 5:45 Sunday afternoon, March 15. One foot was severed, the other severely injured. [Read more…] about Man Loses Legs In Hoosick Falls Train Accident

Toward the end of the Berlin Town Board meeting on Thursday, March 12, Richard VonSchilgen thanked the Town for its response to his complaint about rats in his rental units on Main Street across from the Town Hall, a problem, he says, that is caused by a neighbor who dumps refuse and garbage in the lot behind VonSchilgen’s building. Stephentown Marks 225th With Celebration At Elementary School

A Charter Day celebration marking the 225th anniversary of the official beginning of Stephentown, will be held at Stephentown Elementary School on Sunday, March 29, at 2 pm, hosted by the Stephentown Historical Society and the students at Stephentown Elementary School.  The Town of Stephentown was established in 1784 by an Act of the New York State Legislature.
