Grafton Resident Named New Rensselaer County Undersheriff

Since his graduation from Berlin Central Schools in 1983, Grafton’s Ed Bly has been involved with law enforcement.  That path from an Army Milltary Police Officer through the ranks of the NYS Department of Corrections and into service with the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department, has now culminated with Bly’s appointment by new Sheriff Pat Russo as his Undersheriff. This past year ended with a meeting of the 2015 version of the Grafton Town Board, the subject being the year end settlement of the books.  The Board audited and approved all the outstanding bills and gave them to the bookkeeper to enter into the records.  Maureen Seel will then gave the new Board a list of budget line transactions that need to be addressed at the first regular meeting, Monday January 11.  [Read more…] about Grafton Town Board Action

Two Hoosick Falls High School Musicians Attend Area All-State Music Festival

Being able to perform at the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Area All State is no small accomplishment, and two musicians from Hoosick Falls High School recently did so.
