A Weekend Of Accidents In Stephentown – One Fatal

It was a busy weekend for the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department and its Rescue Squad. On Saturday they responded to a hunting accident off of East Road up toward the Taconic Ridge. This call turned out to be a fatal accident in which a hunter from Pittsfield had his four-wheeler overturn and land on top of him. Gardner Sentencing Delayed

The sentencing of former Stephentown Highway Superintendent Neil Gardner, originally scheduled for Thursday, December 4, has been postponed. According to the  Office of the Rensselaer County Court Clerk, the sentencing for Gardner, who was convicted in October of 24 charges of possession and filing of false documents, has been adjourned to Thursday, December 11, at 11 am.
