Boys Soccer Suffers Tough Losses

Last Friday, the Panthers hosted the Cambridge Indians at Delurey Field. The Panthers came away with a 7 – 0 victory. Drew Phillips and Max Haar each scored 3 goals, and Justin Archambault scored one. Noah Chani had one save.

Two HFCS Golfers Went To Sectionals

Eric Bloomer and Andrew Hoag participated in Class C / D Sectionals on Wednesday, October 2, at the Ballston Spa Country Club. Players from 22 schools were represented. The competition was a shotgun start event.

Fire Safety At Berlin Elementary

Many thanks to the volunteers of the Berlin, Petersburgh, Stephentown and Grafton Fire Departments. On Thursday, October 10, the volunteers came with County Fire Coordinator Ivan Wager to discuss fire safety.  Wager and the other volunteers stressed the importance of being safe 52 weeks of the year and not just during Fire Safety Week.

North Hoosick FD Kids Dance

The North Hoosick Fire Department will hold its regular kids dance on Friday, October 18,  from 7 to 10 pm at the fire station on Rt. 22. Students ages 9 to 15 and who attend any area school are invited. Parents must sign students out at the end of the dance.

BCS School Bus Involved In Accident

At approximately 3 pm on Friday, October 4, one of the Berlin Central School buses was involved in an accident on Route 22 just north of the Route 2 intersection. Panthers Quiet Warriors, 35 – 0

The Stillwater Warriors made a visit to the Panther Den last Friday evening. The 2 – 2 Warriors came in looking to upset the Panthers. The Warriors put up a good fight early in the contest, but the Panthers wore them down. Although the Panthers offense did not play their best game of the season, the defense stepped up and kept Stillwater from gaining any confidence throughout the game.

HF Field Hockey Stays Undefeated

On Friday the Greenwich Witches came to HFCS to battle the Panther field hockey team for first place in the WASAREN league. The Panthers beat the Witches 3 – 1 in their first meeting. Greenwich’s plan was to pull off a win and be in a first place tie with the Panthers.
It didn’t take long for the Panthers to dash any hope of that.
